My wife and I have been part of this gym community for over 4 years. She’s here five times a week, making the most of the free classes included in her membership. The staff are always friendly and genuinely go out of their way to help. Unlike the flashy franchise gyms with deep pockets and glossy marketing, The Y is a true community gym. It relies on the people it serves—and has been around far longer than these modern, overpriced chains that seem more interested in draining your wallet than improving your wellbeing. The Y is an iconic name built on trust, connection, and accessibility. If you want a gym with zero politics, fair value, and the chance to meet real people and make friends, this is the place for you.
I took my toddler to the gymnastics classes, they are pretty much free play which is nice. Coaches are really nice and all but I would have liked it to be a little bit more structured like showing the children how to safely do so, etc. Also the manager “divesh” is not helpful at all.
Gave these guys a ring to book a squash court. I really love how happy the person on the other side is. Clearly someone loves their job nnGreat job Gabby!
I strongly advise avoiding this place. I informed them on the day the new term started that my child would not be continuing with the basketball club. Despite this, they threatened to involve a debt collector to recover fees for the upcoming term. Extremely disappointing and unacceptable behaviour. Scam service.
Very disappointed with the service. They kept calling me to join the membership, but when I cancelled the membership and was told no more direct debit, but my account was still debited. I called and was told that I would get email confirmation, no email received. Have a second thought if you want to join the membership.
