Kogarah Bakery stands out for not only having freshly baked breads sandwiches, baby rolls, Rosetta etc and pastries but also Vietnamese rolls/ banh mi. The banh mi is delicious with generous fillings and the sauce doesn’t soak up the bread. However, the pickles are very light, and the bread should be crispier. Good service.
Hate this lady who served me 2 chicken rolls this morning… she needs to send her resume to KAREN’s DINER. She is such a rude lady to work as a customer service. NEVER GOING BACK. NEVER. I hope Karma gets back to you. It takes nothing to be nice.
Paid $9 for 3 Medium sized cheese and bacon bread but I got three different sized breads which were size small. When I asked the boss, she rudely chucked back at me $7.50. As she was not the one who served me, this only shows that she had given me the Small size cheese and bacon and charged me medium prices small size $2.5 each, I told her I paid $9, and she gave me the biggest death stare.
I have never written a negative review about anyones business before but I really feel as tho I have to share my experience at this bakery. I walked in ready to purchase a fair few things but the behavior of the staff was appalling to say the least. It was as tho I was an annoyance to her and as I would ask for more items her patience wore thinner with me. I’m a paying customer supporting your business and your treat me like this? No thanks! I told her I didn’t like her attitude & rudeness and walked straight out empty handed because I refuse to support a business like this.
Went in after spending a sleepless night with our newborn, it was our first night with our first child and by morning we were drained. The amazing lady at Kogarah Bakery had no idea about this, but when I didn’t have cash for the pastries my wife and I were so looking forward to, she told me to come back and pay later - and then gave us extras on top. This small act of kindness was everything in that moment. When I went back the next morning to fix her up and buy more pastries she wouldn’t accept anything for her generosity- and again gave us extras. Giving without thought of receiving is so rare and it changed my day on a day it needed changing. Thank you.
I wish this store would understand that the inside of an UberEATS bag is NOT a hygienic place to put fresh food. It clearly needs to be put into another white paper bag before being placed into the UberEATS bag. This is what every other business on the planet does. Have tried to tell them several times but they just don’t get it.
The lady in the bakery is so rude or just typical Vietnamese people who doesn’t have any common sense. There is so many nicer pork rolls out there. Please don’t go
Had a pork roll, the bread was very chewy. It was hard to finish as pork roll can be almost inedible if the bread isn't crispy. Not the best bahn Mi I had.
I was a happy regular until I got shortchanged, then the staff really didn't want a bar of it. I tried explaining twice and showed them my empty wallet but the older lady, possibly the owner, got all huffy and treated it like it was my fault. I gave up trying and ended up with the most expensive pork rolls in Kogarah that day.
Early Saturday morning, popped in without my glasses so I couldn’t read the pricing labels. But the woman who served me was clear and good humoured, and sold me buns that were still warm from the oven. Absolutely delicious.
