YHA hostels are always a great place to stay, if you are new to a city and want to stay for a conference or events. Their breakfast is really wholesome.nThe best part is all the social activities, free walks, tours, movie nights that they organize, where u can be a part of and explore the place and make new friends. Great when u are travelling solo.nAlso, it's just at walkable distance across the street from exit 1 from central Station that connects to international airport directly.
Liked · The location is perfect. The staff are lovely, genuinely kind people who make you feel welcome. They were very supportive and understanding even when I made a complaint.nnDisliked · I booked this place because I didn’t want to end up in a party hostel. It was quite overpriced, but I needed some comfort, so I chose a 4-bed female dorm. The room itself was nice and spacious, and I had respectful roommates. But… the outdated door-locking system meant the door slammed constantly, keeping me and others awake all night. Even with my custom-made earplugs 27 dB, the banging was unbearable. Apparently, management is aware of this issue—I wasn’t the first to complain. For a place that aspires to be a 3-star hotel, it’s way overpriced for what you actually get. The elevator is also outdated, very slow, and inefficient. Overall, it was a waste of money as I had zero comfort during my stay.
A wonderful place to stay, central to everything with a light rail station at the front door and only 100m from Central Railway station.nThe staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are spotless including the communal kitchen. The restaurant attached to the YHA offers good food and coffee at a good price.nSomething on offer by way of entertainment every night so why stay anywhere else.nWill definitely be staying again.
Simple an uncomplicated Check-in. Staff was pretty nice and friendly. Everything was clean and the beds were really comfortable. Enough space in the rooms to store your luggage. The only minus point for me was that it wasn’t as easy to connect with others than in other hostels. But that’s probably very individual experience.
