We had three course dinner here. The overall experience is good particularly the service is really good.nnFood is mixed for us. Both starters are nice emu is something quite different. Steak is extremely salty almost bitter. We had to stop after a few bites because it was too bitter. The staff was very nice and swapped it with another main sword fish which is nice.
Beautifully presented restaurant, elegant fit-out with luxe interior. The open kitchen is a nice touch. Staff were friendly; the young blonde man with round glasses was very informative and enthusiastic.nnWe did the six course menu for $165 per head. While the food presented beautifully, the flavours were a little hit and miss. Best dish was the cabbage; unusual flavours but just delicious. The king fish was lacking flavour and was cut too thick. The marron was cooked well but under seasoned and was bland. The lamb was cooked perfectly but required more heat. Lamb accompaniments balanced flavours very well. The emu dish was unusual, and the only dish we both struggled to eat without a wine chaser.nnStaff were lovely although consistency with wine pouring would help, in addition reminding staff to inform guests what they are eating at each course. We only had this for one course.nnWould I go back? For the price, no. Would I try the three course next I am in town, possibly.
We had our 3 year anniversary dinner here and it was amazing as always. Maurice is a brilliant host and was very hospitable, and the mixologist at the bar believe her name is Coco, apologies if I’m wrong made some amazing drinks for my partner which he loved. Food was so delicious, our favourites were the cabbage and emu. Thank you for such an amazing night, we will be back :
Adjacent to the Coles carpark you enter another world when you pass through the big glass front door of Yarri. Inside is a modern open restaurant offering a cosy indoor space and an enclosed outdoor area. Both look out onto the bush without a car in sight. The menu is small with only three options per course but everyone of them is a winner. The cocktails are great and the wines match perfectly. Service is welcoming, professional and efficient.
Gorgeous dining roomnnA+ food. Highlights, the bread and the carrots side dish. Fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Marron was so so.nnFrench companion rated the bread the 2nd best bread she's had in Australia. Clearly a lot of time and love is going into their sourdough program. Keep up the great work!nnHaley was attentive and knowledgeable. Went our of their way to help with our wine pairings.nnWill return and recommend to others
