Absolutely disgraceful experience at Yarrawonga Holiday Park.nnWe paid $2,720 for an 8-night stay in a “self-contained” cabin and received conditions that fell well below basic expectations for paid accommodation. Only TWO rolls of toilet paper were provided for 8 people for the entire stay, and we were told there would be no cleaning or servicing of the cabin at all.nnFor a business charging premium prices, providing basic hygiene necessities and reasonable standards of living should be the absolute minimum. Instead, it felt like cost-cutting at the expense of guests — saving money on cleaners and essential supplies while still charging full top-dollar rates, especially when the park is busy.nnWhen we raised these concerns, staff were rude, dismissive, and showed no interest in resolving the issue. The attitude toward paying customers was shocking and completely unprofessional.nnNo guest paying thousands of dollars should have to chase basic amenities or tolerate conditions below fundamental living standards. Extremely poor value for money, unacceptable customer service, and a deeply disappointing experience overall.nnWould not recommend.
Not a bad park, wouldn't waste the extra $$$ on riverfront power site as next to no grass, lots of dust which just blows through your entire set up & massive bank to get down to river - we ended up moving sites early. Can't comment on rooms - didn't use. Water Park seemed popular & good, amenities reasonably clean & well maintained.
Just spent the long weekend here, last minute booking at was allocated area A, can’t fault the site, spacious with lovely green lush grass. Just near amenities block.nDidn’t have to use the boom gate for entry exit so that was a bonus.nSister stayed in area M and that was very busy. Although a fair walk in the heat to go ‘visit’ her.nCheck in was easy with clear directions.nThe splash park was great, kids had a fun time. Loved the deck with high tables and chairs undercover to watch them play.nLots of seating. It did however have lots of chlorine to the point swim goggles were needed. Some of that chlorine would’ve been better used in the large pool because the smell of urine was unbearable in there.nDogs allowed in the park was an added bonus.
My husband and I have been staying at this caravan park for a number of years I've lost count how many years. We were booked in for Australia day weekend 2026. My husband called the park 2 weeks before the check in time to let them know that we wouldn't be able to make it as an appointment had come up at the hospital. We didnt want a refund just asked if the money that we had paid which was the full amount for the 5 days if they could keep the money and roll it over until we come up next time. We were told no that we had cancelled and they were not going to allow us to have the money at all even roll it over for another time. I really think caravan parks have gotten really greedy. I know they would have had a wait list that they could have rang and booked our site that we had cancelled. This caravan park kept our money and would have likely made the same amount of money again so they would have doubled their money. I think its highway robbery keeping all of our money times are hard for everyone. I mean even if they could have kept the deposit and saved the rest of the money for another time for us to come on another time. There is no loyalty anymore feeling really angry
We just recently had our stay and absolutely won't be returning.nStaff are rude! I was advised I could finalise payment the week before arrival only to be called and asked why i haven't paid? To then be told what i was advised was incorrect and I should have made payment a month prior.nWe then arrived and the reception staff were rude, no smiles, no greeting nothing.nWe went to our Ensuite Cabin and for nearly $800 i was disgusted. It was not cleaned! The floor had dust, bugs & dried up milk on the floor, the windows were also full of dust. The cutlery was dirty.nnWe used one wet wipe and wiped ONCE over the floor and it was gross photo attached.nWe went and advised front reception who said the cabin was cleaned that morning. Incorrect!!! Clearly it has not been vacuumed or mopped for 6 or more months!nThey sent a cleaner around, but there was no apology!!!nWhen she had finished and emptied the mop bucket water it was dark brown.nnThe block amenities are also filthy.
