Visiting Melbourne for work this week so I decided to try and play at round on the sandbelt. The golf club and staff were more than happy to oblige. Arrived and was sorted out with rental clubs that were fantastic and state of the art golf cart. Had lunch before my round which was wonderful. The building is so grand and there is history all throughout it, getting to sit up and soak it all in before the round was great. Went down to the practice facilities which are getting an upgrade but look mint. Cool putting green out the front of the clubhouse around a fountain, haven’t see that before. The greens were fast but true and the whole course was in really good shape. I loved every minute of it. Highly recommend

Spanish Villa clubhouse looking out on semi-open sandbelt. Excellent conditions, world class par 3s, great layout across quite a flat property. Greens were pretty flawless, and ran through to each next teebox. Bunkers low on sand but great green complexes. Recent charity day had expectional hospitality.

My first introduction to Melbourne sand belt golf and I can see why it is so highly touted. A real challenge with some seriously tough pin positions on quick greens, very challenging bunkers due to very little sand at the base and greens ringed by bunkers. Great facilities, clubhouse and layout.

I have purchased a few items here in the pro shop. The gents are very helpful, super competitively priced and gave me great advice. Looking forward to using my Qi10 driver and fairway clubs. Thank you for the great service
