Really interesting part of the history of Darwin. A relic from a desperate time. Darwin was the frontier. Australia was constantly under Japanese attack. We needed a safe place to store fuel, away from the tyranny of the Nippon bombers.

Was nice to have a look at something you don't get to see everyday. Well worth a look! Pleanty of information along the way. Be careful if you are claustrophobic as there are small areas and its gets quite stuffy and humid.

This was surprisingly better than it looked from the photos. A great insight into Darwin's war time days. Lots of audio and photos when there were bombing. If you're in there when there isn't a lot of people its feels very eerie. The way out is the same way you get in, so when you're walking along do one side of the wall and walk back on the opposite side. It's not a long walk but its much longer than it looks. Entry is $7 per adult, nothing that will break the wallet.

Interesting place to visit, there is a lot of information so it will take you some time to read all the pamphlets.

Very, very wet. But it had been raining for three days. Could use someone to interpret the history of the tunnels in the context of World War 2.
