Very happy with the way work an income dealt with me treating me with respect
Awful, applied for a benefit and it was all a stuff around went in there and I gave them the form and had everything but this tenancy agreement but they said I need everything and they said they dont make an appointments for this benefit went in there again gave her the form like I did last time nothing else like the tenancy agreement and she said I had to make an appointment. Even though I said to them are you sure I dont need to make an appointment. Had to go back several times to make sure everything was right.
I went in today to apply for a carers allowance. This afternoon I got a call with approval. Thank you winz for making such a stressful time so uncomplicated and for handling me with empathy and respect.
Never enough staff on duty, especially at reception which is absolutely unacceptable. Also, the amount of time it takes to sort out clients' needs & wants is just pathetic. Yes, the case managers are under pressure but who isn't in the workforce?! Just like so many other government depts, it sorely lacks investment & up-to-date infrastructure. Very disappointing but not at all surprising :-
