No future planning. Denied proposal for a tesla charging site with a quote of "petrol forever" by a councillor. Having a tesla charger would attract more people to the town, right now there are no tesla chargers over that part of the country and many drivers would avoid the trip without having the faster charging available
Love swimming.. where??? As long as its accessible clean & I can enjoy myself & socialize..But why does Np pools changing rooms both upstairs & downstairs smell like urine...its smells in the mornings & smells in the evenings,..The public loos at the park next door don't smell of urine nor does hawera pools. Nor the public toilets by kfc np..im pretty sure I'm not the only 1 that cam smell it...
We do not have a amazing Council, They are discriminating against the unvaccinated You Can't even go swimming at the moment even if the pools were fully open anyway. And you can't even go to the public library Without a vaccine passport That is discriminating against the unvaccinated, The New Plymouth District Council is no better than the government At the moment, And should be ashamed of themselves.
We have an amazing council who have made the decision to not bow down and follow the pure stupidity displayed by other councils around the country. Not discriminating against those who will not be vaccinated is a great decision. Well done. All we can do is hope other councils and businesses will follow this lead and open their eyes to the madness of imposing pointless and discriminatory restrictions.
I was proud to live in New Plymouth district council for not having a separatists view. Now you have shown to be a weak organization that can't even discern a common sense approach to life. Most livable city in the world no longer, most embarrassing city yes. My children were learning to swim at the aquatic center, now we can't enter because we aren't vaccinated. This summer, tell me how many people have drowned in New Zealand. Then tell me how many people have died of covid. Then tell me you have made the right decision. Maybe we will add a new word to the dictionary this year, one that can describe the disappointment I have for you as a council. Because disappointment is not even close to how I feel in the npdc.
How incredibly disappointing New Plymouth District council, the impact of your discrimination will be wide spread. Banning your own rate payers from venues such as libraries, pools, etc will have a negative effect which will be felt long after you realize you've made a mistake.
Thank you New Plymouth District Council for continuing to offer our beautiful public spaces to all. May we continue to seek out ways to love and care for one another.
Craig Stevenson is a coward and has no care for the people of New Plymouth. Take responsibility and fix Barbara Hardwidge house. Fraudster also using rate payers money for his own benefit
