We had a frustrating experience with Woolworths' self-checkout system and customer service. While checking out using their self-checkout machines, we applied the 10% Everyday Rewards discount, which initially worked. However, when we chose to pay with our $10 Reward Dollars, the deducted 10% discount was added back to the total price.nnA staff member assisted us and told us that we could pay the full amount first, then go to the front desk, where they would refund the 10% discount. Just as we were about to rescan our Everyday Rewards, another staff member came over and asked about the situation. After explaining, this second staff member told us that the front desk could not refund the 10% and that we had to contact Everyday Rewards instead.nnWe ended up paying the full amount, and the receipt still showed that we had saved the 10% as an Everyday Rewards member, which made the situation even more confusing.nnI believe that when a machine or software issue inconveniences customers, it is unprofessional to simply tell them to contact Everyday Rewards themselves. This level of customer service is unacceptable. I previously worked at Woolworths' front desk for eight months, and I would never push this kind of hassle onto customers, forcing them to go through a complicated process themselves.nnWhen I raised this issue with the assistant store manager, another staff member standing nearby said that they couldn’t fix Everyday Rewards issues. The assistant store manager also initially said the same thing. However, after I mentioned my past experience working at Woolworths, the assistant store manager finally admitted that they could have handled the situation better.nnWoolworths used to have very high customer service standards. I’m not sure if those standards have changed or if we were just treated differently, but this entire experience dealing with Woolworths' staff was extremely disappointing.nnIf you're interested, you can check the payment details on the receipt to see that the 10% off didn't actually apply, yet it still says we saved that 10%.
Stock - nicenOffers - good offers but tricky as they are short timednStorage system - good but the iles are messy always and they are always restocking in every lane, which makes taking trolley a little difficult.nStaff is nice and polite but they could use more staff for customer service!
I’ve been shopping at this shop for over 6 years and this never happened before. Today I asked an assistant for a physical receipt as the cashier machines no longer print receipts. The assistant I asked for a receipt was absolutely and she kept saying that I needed to move my shopping bags to the trolley first and I could check the receipt on the app. I asked why she was so rude and she said she was just telling me, but that’s not what I was asking for. Hope the lady behaves herself. Everything else is fine here.
For over 4 consecutive weeks my delivery has been late over an hour late. I am sent messages that there is an increased demand in drivers which is a lie. There has been a change to systems and drivers over 20km away are being asked to deliver to my location. I dont appreciate this extremely poor service that I am paying for. It should be convenient and it's the opposite. Calling the 'priority service' line doesn't resolve the issues. I have lost faith in this company that benefit at the loss of consumers.
Was trying to purchase tobacco and I felt like I was told off by a manager for requesting something that was advertised as being sold by this store. When I mentioned that the product was advertised as available and this was confusing staff she continued to overexplain store practices to me when I simply wanted my product which is being advertised. The first staff member was one of the nicest cashiers I’ve met and then the manager was so rude. So glad this isn’t my local shop I wouldn’t be able to interact with her whenever I had an issue, she also acted like I was an inconvenience for existing. This ‘senior’ staff member could learn a lot about customer service from some of the younger workers in this store.
