Picked up a full box of lamb cut up and whilst there purchased some other meats. Tonight we ate the most exquisite pork and sage schnitzels. Tasty with amazing crumbs and just the right thickness of meat which made for easy cooking.

Haggis is something that you love or hate, but when you find haggis like this, you will just love it. Robbie Burns birthday was celebrated with haggis, black pudding, tatties and nips and square sausage. We toasted Robbie's health with a good lowland malt.Dunns are the best thing around!
Ordered 2 whole chickens and a pork belly. I told the butcher I wanted to roll it into a porchetta. He cut it and prepared it for me to roll myself, which is what I wanted. I ordered it a week in advance. Was being prepped of half a pig when I walked in. Polite service, paid less than quoted. Reminds me of walking into a butcher shop in the mid north not the adelaide hills. I have been looking for a butcher shop in the hills for a long time since the Costellos moved on from Gumeracha. This butcher is under new management- family run local butcher. Excellent prices and service. Meat is amazing quality locally sourced from the hills. We’ve had the pork sausages, T-bones and pork cutlets!
