Story

Formed in 1911 the Club has had a colorful history. Undergoing continual improvements, the new building incorporates the theme of the town’s coal mining origins. The refurbishments include the extended Pit & Pony Bar, entertainment and Function Rooms, Bistro with Coffee Lounge adjoining and a large Children's Play Room. From the main entrance, walk through the mine tunnel into the magnificent poppet head foyer.The Club Bistro is open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner with member’s specials and specialty meals available.

Great service, food arrived within 20 minutes of ordering. Fresh and hot, everything cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the Beef Brisket and the Country Chicken.

Lovely meal and a cowboy country western theme throughout, very cute and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and all in all we had a great day in Wonthagi, spent a wee bit at the Wonthagi Bizarre and st Vinnies op shop. I bought a lladro for $30, LOVE!!!

I was absolutely shocked they did a good steak.  The salt was a bit lacking but cooked well and a nice cut, rib eye. So far the only good steak I have had in Wonthaggi over the last few years. Popular spot if you have kids, they have two indoor playgrounds.

The entrance is set up to resemble a mine tunnel.nThe sports bar is very comfortable,  with a variety of seating options. I have yet to try the restaurant. I am told it is very good.

When one of these clubs gets a Sunday roast right, shall I return....good ol traditional SUNDAY ROAST, this place gets the vegies right but the so called lamb mutton, looks and has no flavour and it was tough...hard to fun tough LAMB....nNow just have to get the other club to get the ROAST MEAT right, as their ROAST VEGIES are just that, roast potatoes, pumpkin.. your lamb  is awesome, but you don't have turnip/swede or purple yam whatever it was in place of ROAST POTATO doesn't cut it, it was a risky move, very few like any of those vegies...bring back ROAST VEGIES with our ROAST MEAT...
