Cosy Spoons. Ordered the vegan bangers and mash which came with Quorn sausages.. pretty nice! Could have done with a little more gravy if I’m being harsh but my baked beans sauce ensured that my mash wasn’t too dry. Also a big fan of free tea refills. Stayed nice and warm in here with a hot plate of food and bottomless brews. Staff were very friendly too.
Good food, very cheap! The staff is super friendly too. Too bad they throw you out if you can’t verify yourself after nine o’clock! I’ve had this happen 3 times now and it drives me mad. I think they try to stop groups of young people acting up but I just go there with my family and friends. 2 stars from me.
Very nice looking weatherspoons best I’ve seen and been to so far. Drinks came really quick and when the food came it was amazing, bbq chicken pizzia hot cheesy and very soft, chicken hot wings was amazing and nachos to die for. Staff nice and friendly and toilets are very clean and just the whole place was a great visit.
Lively atmosphere. Very nice fish and chips. Fairly priced. Friendly staff.
The usual fare of drinks and food served in a pleasant enviroment with interesting decor theme. Problems with lift make access difficult as does a table in front of the accessable toilet. Nice beer garden thas secluded and reasonably quiet.
Pleasant and clean as you'd expect. Feels like there are less drunks sat in there all day unlike the 8 Bells in Dover. Still the same wall of noisy conversations due to the lack of music which I can never get used to. It's an odd pub with the front half feeling more like a regular Wetherspoons and the back half feeling like a noisy food court. The strange pipework above the food area makes you feel like your looking at the roof inside Tides Leisure Centre. Staff are friendly and polite, they never seem to be out of the beers you want and it's nice to be able to see the kitchen activity through the open hatch.
Not bad, you can have a meal for a tenner, any drink for a £1, meals alright, service fine, not restaurant fare but filling. Had chicken breast, bacon with cheese covered in barbecue sauce, the wife and me, £22.
Certain member of staff tried to convince us someone gave us our sides but we were too involved in conversation to accept them so "they were left on the pass for ages". Given that we were on a table near the pass so was in full view and my partner in crime and I weren't exactly discussing wedding plans. So everything was great apart from being lied to BY A LIAR!
Always great value. Real ale festival coming up....advertised in the window. Open till midnight for late drinkers. Nice and quiet if you go for a late pint during the week.
Spent 5 days in Kingsdale Holiday Park in Deal in Kent stayed in Chalet, very cosy accommodation. Visited Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Activity Park, had lovely meal in Werther Spoon Pub named after Normon Wisdom as he lived in the area it was his local. Would definitely go back as so much to see and visit all about 40 mins away in car and such a relaxing break getting out of London.
