Great Big Breakfast at this wxcellent Irish Pub in the heart of Darwin. The breakfast was huge, too much food for only $24. Great value for such a big serve. Such a great pub! Staff are so friendly $7 pints at Happy Hour from 4pm.Food: 5/5
Great place to drop in to escape the heat, sat right near the fan, lifesaver! Staff were good, had the Garlic Prawn Pizza, that good I forgot to take a photo. Here for a week so will pop in for an $18 lunch.
The place looks great, has all the ascetics of an Irish Pub. Meals were great, we both had a $15 lunch that came with a beer so they were good value, thought $11 was a bit over the top for a lemmon lime and bitters how ever it was good. You need to show proof of vaccination to go in, which is fine, they are strict on that. Only thing that let them down on the day was the 2 staff members all though they wern't rude as such, they did not at all seem happy to be there or to have to serve you, niether cracked any pleasantries or a smile, they just done there job.. not the norm you'd expect in an Irish pub that was the only disappointment...maybe they were having a bad day
This place use to be my favs for a go to pub lunch.But today very disappointed , my husband and I ordered both parmi, we paid three dollars more than usual, we thought “well everything is going up” so that was fine. But food came , half a size than we normally get, and it was burned , and chips taste horrible and burned as well. The size of the side salad is a very small portion as well.
Do recommend visiting on a Tuesday for trivia night. Food was reasonably priced. Pepperoni pizza was very good but do recommend it as a share between 2. Others said Steak was good. Drinks were a little pricey at $5 a glass of coke.
Recently had our work Christmas party here and the team were fantastic. We liaised with Leanne throughout the booking process and she was extremely helpful. The function room was decorated for Christmas and the staff were so friendly despite our party getting quite loud by the end of the eve! Would definitely recommend booking the function room for a party and we'll be using Shags again for future parties I'm sure! Thanks so much to the team for their part in creating a memorable night for us all x
Nice spot In the heart of town ...not busy AT ALL huge wait for food ...way to long since most of it is deep fried snitty and fish n chips ..big portions though Garlic prawns is just that Prawns in garlic cream sauce ... no rice and like maybe 6 of them Expensive and sloooooooooowwwwwwwww
Super chill place and great for a family meal. I ordered the fish & chips and was surprised to find bones throughout the entire fillet and the batter. The rest of the family ordered steaks and the croc bites and said they were delicious and perfectly cooked. Great service and the staff were great.
I ordered angus rump Medium Rare from Uber eater, but it looked and tasted like over well-done.
Being my last day in Darwin, my partner and i decided to go get some lunch before our flight. He said it was the best burger he has ever had - he had the NT double bacon burger. I also had the best steak sandwich! Would recommend this place.
