Big fan of Williams Burgers Days - when fine dining meets burgers. The quality is amazing and the gravy for their Sunday roast chicken burger is addictive made over 7 hours! The onion rings and loaded fries were so delicious too. Drinks wise, I highly recommend the watermelon cocktail or the espresso martini. Amazing service and will be back for more!
Onion rings are a must. Easily the best onion rings I've eaten. The premium waygu burger is incredible. Pricey but well worth it. The bun could be a little softer but otherwise highly recommended. I wouldn't recommend the crispy chicken burger though, it was average at best. Chicken was bland and the didn't have too much crunch.
While there is no lack of burger cafes in the 3141 area, none has stood out for quality - until now. On a recent visit to Williams, we were delighted by the standard of food and service. Certainly well above what we are accustomed to with “chains” big or small The burgers were delicious, the Caesar salad of restaurant standard and the side dishes innovative and good value. Oh, and for those of us who are gluten intolerant, the GF bun here was first rate and properly toasted when served with the burger. We’ll be back.
There’s a new burger joint on the block @williamsburgerdays to cure all your holiday hangovers, with a menu created by the legendary former Vue De Monde chef Josh Powell. They use the highest quality ingredients - like the wagyu cheeseburger using full blooded wagyu, and incredible creations like the Sunday roast burger my favourite! - dripping with incredible gravy! This chicken burger i drenched in their house made gravy that takes over 7 hours to make! It was definitely the highlight of the meal and ended up dipping everything in it
First class burgers! Williams have lifted the bar right up above the competition here. I tried the Wagyu and it was amazing, very impressed with the quality. Moist flame grilled and not over cooked. The sauce was exceptionally good. Alot of thought has gone into designing the flavours here. My husband tried a more traditional burger with egg. His comment was it's the best burger he's had in 10 years! We eat out alot so that was high praise. Switched on staff, great service. Stylish, upmarket decor & music, appreciate the heavy plates and cutlery guys, it's a nice touch. So impressed we shared seconds! Really nice rose & Moondog beer. We are spoilt for dining options in the area, but we entertained an interstate colleague here the next day for a relaxed, quality night out. The sauce on the chips gets 10 / 10. Well done guys.
Mushroom burgers aren't my favourite veggie option but I like them when done well. This one, unfortunately, is just okay. The flavours overall are nice and mostly dominated by cheese but the mushroom "patty" is really lacking. It needs a crumb or something to help bind to the sauces, because they slide right off. Even a more intense chargrill would help, but it tasted as though the mushroom had received nothing but a light boil. That said, I would give Williams' other veg options a try.
Was really hoping to love this place. Cheeseburgers were overcooked, yet tasty if not a little overpowered by the sauce. They were out of corn fritters when we ordered which I suspect won't happen once the novelty of the place wears off and the server suggested onion rings. They were good, but literally cost one dollar for each small onion ring! The chips were decent, but again very small serving size for the price. Overall, a good place to fulfill a burger craving in South Yarra, but for consistency and quality, I'll head next door to Hunky Dory.
Good burgers and exceptional service. Very disappointed reading negative reviews about these new boys & girls on the block after my firsthand experience in contrast. Clearly the operators have invested much time in training staff with a diligent effort to streamline a concept that delivers. From the moment you walk through the doors and on to the counter-service-interaction, whereby staff demonstrate an excellent grasp on product knowledge that is also entertaining. BTW - Loved the cool funky tattooed bartender who puts the E in the edgy making the point of difference this burger joint has amongst its competitors. Yes - the sides are small portioned and clearly stated on their menu however, the cheesy chips, onions rings & corn fritters were absolutely divine. Foodies: I say if you're on a budget don't try and taste the entire menu but if you do and taste the quality don't complain but rather appreciate what is indeed near to perfection. Love that habanero signature sauce. We'll be back for sure!!!!
Terrific burger - good meat with excellent BBQ flavour, tasty bun and real ingredients inside. Chips great. Beer and wine with choices. Clean and bright restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. Prices very reasonable and competitive. Best burger I've bought in a while. Well done.
I went here as it was the only place open on New Year’s Day and I’m really glad I did. The burger with cheese and bacon and small fries were excellent. Very fresh. Well seasoned. The burger was made by someone who knows their stuff: bun was lightly toasted, meat patty juicy and cooked just right, assembled with care. I’ll come back. It’s a few bucks more than some other lesser options, but you get what you pay for and this was a cut above the rest.
