Story

The Wharf Bar & Grill sits overlooking the beautiful Gisborne inner harbour. Rebuilt after a fire in January 2016, The Wharf Bar & Grill has reopened its doors and now presents an exciting new fresh look and feel. Relax and unwind for the evening in our large alfresco dining area, while watching the sun set over the harbour.
Enjoy dishes created by our culinary team using the finest of ingredients, showcasing fresh mouth-watering flavours and proudly serving New Zealand's most premium cuts of meat, fresh seafood and local produce. We dined at the Wharf bar tonight was a very nice meal. The girls were very good and super friendly. Being Valentine's night they were really busy didn't have to wait long for our meal good service.

I got food poisoning. We were on the road since 7 am, and I only ate here. (Around 3 pm. seafood). I did not eat anything afterwards. And now I am miserable. This is the second time we are experiencing a similar thing with the Wharf in the last 4 months.

The building is quite nice, but the bar situation needs help. There is only a very small selection of beer, you have to pay before you are served, and if there is a bar, why can I only pay in one spot! This place has potential, but it is not there yet.
