Very well cared for gardens. Beautiful plantings that softened the harsh contours of a disused quarry. The lake withe big waterfall Was the centre piece. The place nice and quiet, with plenty of seats and tables for a picnic. The ground crew looked liked they really liked caring for the plants. Overall, well worth a visit.
I neat place to visit with many different varieties of plants. Lots of seating around and the walk is pretty lite so would be appropriate for all fitness leaves. The waterfalls were awesome.
What a beautiful place to enjoy a picnic on the grass, sit and unwind or find inspiration amongst the 1000s of plants shurbs and trees that staff and volunteers have created over the years. A great mix of features that help highlight what makes this region a subtropical paradise.
We visited the garden yesterday and was blown away by the variety of plants, but also how perfect it all is - no weeds in site! The team obviously works hard to make this place so beautiful.nWhat a vision - to turn a stone quarry into a stunning garden. The bird life is wonderful too.nThe café was closed when we were there, but looks like a lovely spot for lunch. Many picnic benches around the lake make it inviting to bring your own picnic.nHighly recommend.
Fantastic place. Entry by donation to support the huge team of volunteers. Huge variety of plants over a large area. Well maintained paths. Thoroughly enjoyable visit
