Exhibitions changing every 3 weeks. Gorgeous selection for gift items. Lovely gallery owner. Coffee and chocolaterie next door. All in all it's a delightful Tamworth destination.
Lovely and so nice to just walk around beautiful art works if all kinds
I discovered this fabulous gallery online several months ago, and made a point of visiting it in person twice! when I was staying in Tamworth recently. To say the least, I am impressed! Weswal Gallery is beautiful; it is located in a gorgeous spot near the Tamworth Botanic Gardens and lookout, and is without a doubt as good as many similar galleries in much bigger centres. They concentrate on support and display of local works; judging from what I saw, the Tamworth district has a plethora of talented artists in many modalities! However, Weswal doesn't feature locals to the exclusion of "outsiders", especially with paintings. I bought myself a print which caught my eye online it's even better "in the canvas", as well as some locally made ceramics and woodcrafts for Christmas gifts. There is a comprehensive range of works to suit most budgets available, and one can purchase online. The gallery is spacious, artworks are creatively displayed, the lady on duty when I was there was lovely; really helpful and friendly, and obviously enthusiastic about the gallery and her work there. I absolutely love it, and will ensure I visit next time I'm in Tamworth. Weswal is not to be missed if you love art, and are visiting beautiful Tamworth! I do hope that the adjoining Weswal Cafe will have reopened next time I visit.
Lovely art and hand made gifts. I bought three pairs of earings.
No menu at the moment, but the food and coffee is great. It's a very cosy cafe that's great for a catch up or a quick tea. Decor could do with a revamp.
A good place to buy works of art. Very professional and reliable. I fell in love with a drawing on the current exhibition web page & enquired by email. Sandra provided the information immediately, made the sale process a breeze, and had the work promptly shipped after the exhibition. It arrived expertly wrapped and safe, delivered by a friendly courier who handled it carefully. I would definitely buy from this gallery again.
Love the support of many local artists. Always lovely to stop in and browse, and the Cafe has the best Ice Coffees in Tamworth!
What's not to love about Weswal Gallery. A beautiful space with great art, ceramics and other handmade objects.
Some amazing local artists on display, well worth a visit. And get an iced chocolate from next door!
