Ridiculous. The deposit function hasn’t worked on the ATM a this branch for weeks . So no choice but to stand in a queue that stretches for miles as had to deposit cash . Waited over an hour to get served obviously minimal staff on and half the people probably wouldn’t have to be waiting in line if the deposit function was working . You’d really think it’s a simple thing to have a deposit function actually functioning . Get ya act together westpac .
It has been one of the most pathetic and painful experience ever with a bank. Went in last Thursday regarding various accounts. Was given an appointment for Friday at 11.30 am. Waited for almost 20 minutes for the person concern and was only to be informed that I was not booked in. She did things in a rush and very customer unfriendly. Gave appointment for Monday. While working on my credit card application, despite being a well paid job land full time job I was informed that she cannot proceed with the application as I have more credit checks than their regulations. She informed that the credit team is going to laugh at her for submitting my application as that criteria not being met. Despite requesting that to proceed she did not. I wanted the credit team to make the decision and as much as I know not all regulations are rigid and there are exceptions and conditions do apply. This experience has made me loose all the confidence and trust in Westpac Banking and I do not regret the decision of moving away from them. I hope the customers are treated well in future.
Really disappointed and felt humiliated by one of the staff member. Unacceptable treatment. Will never go back to Westpac.
