Very impressed by the work done to develop this park, with so many native species of plants and trees.
Visited on the 24/11/24, the colour of the lake looked sort of green at the moment, I have visited on other occasions when it was a red sort of colour, yesterday green sort of colour, still nice, lots of flies....
Visited park today. Salt lake has blue and white deposits and has a very strong smell like sewage or dead animals. Wouldn’t recommend going there right now. Fresh water lake OK so if possible avoid walking near salt lake. Traffic noise intense. Much nicer places to visit in Melbourne.
A really nice park with very cool sculpture and views of the Westgate Bridge.nnNot very accessible if you walk everywhere like me. But you can catch the Fishermans Bend 235,236 Bus from Southern Cross station. And you can walk in via the main car park from Todd Road.
Interesting walk nestled in the industrial area. A beautiful pocket of green and birdllife surrounded by busy roads. It was great to see the West Gate Bridge and stacks of shipping containers across the way from another viewpoint.
