Nice little playground. An ideal place for the family on warm days. The kids love it, also the bushes + the trail and the beach near by. Public toilets accessibility could be the most concerning cons. Need to walk 400m to the public toilets. Be prepared if you have a toilet training child with you.

The Maritime Cove Community Park located adjacent to Webb Dock in Port Melbourne is an excellent park with a playground area for kids and also an area with exercise equipment for adults. The range and type of the kids playground equipment is excellent and some are very unique including some with water sprays such as the a see-saw that activates water sprays (see photos). The adult gym equipment is extensive however and includes push-up and step-up bars, a butterfly press for working the pectoral muscles, a shoulder press, an aerobic walker, a leg press, a bench press and a stretch station. The playground area has lighting so I imagine it will be used on warm summer nights it also has public toilets only a short distance nearby. Unfortunately the park does have some major issues: (a) There is very limited shaded areas which can be serious for young children on hot summer days. I believe that a number of shade sails should be installed. (b) There is limited seating for adults that are there to supervise their children (c) While the kids playground equipment is excellent, I don't believe that the adult gym equipment is of good quality in terms of functionality. (d) While the car park is quite large, it is strange that when there was virtually no-one in the park, the car park was almost full with cars (see photos). Does this indicate that the car park is being used by others, perhaps workers nearby?

Great place to bring the kids with lots to keep them occupied. I usually grab a bite to eat close by & enjoy the sea breeze off the bay. A few hours there always makes for a great night's sleep.

Great park for the kids but lacking in many areas. No shaded or seating areas for the adults. Hundreds of Rats running around make it feel dirty and unhygienic. Wasn’t very pleasant to have a picnic

Beautiful weather, clean beach, great for a walk or a night out, enjoyed it with friends and family, the kids playing with their friends, convenient public toilet and free barbecues onsite, lots of free parking spots, make sure you don't park in a restricted area because you will get ticketed. Lifeguards on site till 5pm. Great scenery.
