Very thoughtful and interesting library space. Great resources for adults and children. Kids books are thoughtfully displayed, staff and friendly, very peaceful surroundings. Well done to the consultation and design process which preceded this lovely community resource.
The staff at West Lakes library are brilliant I have been in a few times this week wanting lots of techno help. There wasn't anything that wasn't too much trouble for them.
New library location. Parking on week days is terrible. Parking on weekends only marginally better. Once you get used to the layout of the library it will be OK although more thought is needed on their signage.
Beautiful new library space. Great children's area with toys and pillows to make the space comfortable and interactive for the little ones. Staff were helpful and attentive to our needs during our visit. Only recommendation would be for more car parking as the building is shared with other businesses and it was hard to get a park. Great little coffee shop attached so you can enjoy the library with a coffee in hand.
Where have all the books gone??!! The new “library” is spacious and airy and if you’re after a coffee, a place to sit or a full sized kitchen ? then go to this new “library”. But if you’re after books, you’re better off going somewhere else.
Fabulous vibrant space. Children’s book section is more cramped now compared to previous library location. I really hope loud music or music altogether would get switched off in the library, I find it distractive and overwhelming. Otherwise the place is promising.
Please create more parking space! My toddler and I did 3 laps of the car park and right up Charles st all the way up to Crowmania and could not find a park! This was a Wednesday afternoon around 11.30am. After starting a 4th lap we pulled off to the side and waited a bit thankfully someone came out. A lot of car parks are reserved for businesses... will there be any additional parking space being made? Other than that we love the new space : all the staff are super friendly and helpful.
Because I am chemical sensitive , the very brilliant staff leave my book/books outside on a trolley. The books are put in a nice paper bag with my name on it...and most times I get a lovely note wishing me a good day. Ten stars from me
The Staff are nice,helpful, professional. looking forwards to The new Library across the road. At the moment.Wished tge library opened earlier.9.00am. As,its not just about borrowing books.So,for other services they offer,should be inline,The business time for convenience and good service.
We went to the library, which is very well layed out and an excellent place to read, study, or play a board game. The actual book collection is a little small, but the statewide collection is available free online.
