We booked the wilderness carriage and were not disappointed. It was a really enjoyable train ride, learnt a lot about the history of the towns and the rail, and the staff were amazing. Was well worth the visit. Would recommend highly.
Very enjoyable experience. The historical narration was the highlight for me. Learning the plight of Teepookana, & The Queen & King Rivers had a material impact on me.nI would love for the journey to have been longer, perhaps to Queenstown, so I hope that might be an option in the future.
Great little rail journey can highly recommend this one. The history of the area is fascinating as told buy the staff and the pumpkin scones are great.
When we went, the train was only running from Strahan to Lower Landing. No worries it was still a great trip.nnExcellent staff and carriages. Pouring with rain outside it’s a rain forest but cozy inside. Lovely views.
A good location with a museum and beautiful restaurant, we had very good serves for breakfast and coffee. It'd be one of the best coffee place in town that we enjoyed noted that restaurant open at 10am though
