We did a Close Encounter with the ring tailed Lemurs and it was fantastic. Zoo entry was included with the close encounter which made it good value and gave that something special to the zoo. We also really enjoyed talking to one of the volunteers at the zoo. She was full of stories and fun facts about the animals.
Always nice to visit when in Wellington, ashame this time there where no big cats/bear visible and some things closed. Possibly due to time/date of visit. Had some amazing animals to see, huge giraffes. A nice place to take the kids.
I enjoyed my walk through this zoo, about 2 hours. I caught one feeding show among many throughout the day. The zoo keepers were very friendly and informative. I like the multiple toilet access with a couple stalls vs. one big washroom area near the entrance/exit like other zoos.nSad that a few cages have no animals at all unless it's feeding/show time.
Wellington Zoo offers a well-maintained and engaging environment focused on conservation and education. The staff are knowledgeable, and the area is thoughtfully designed. It provides awesome experience for visitors of all ages.
Had a great time at Wellington Zoo! The place is clean, well-organised, and full of friendly staff. You get to see lions, red pandas, giraffes, and even native Kiwi birds . The enclosures are well-designed and animals look happy and active.nPerfect for kids, families, or even just a chill day out.nNice food options too and heaps of photo spots .
