It is one of the best place in Wellington. You can have casual walk all around the water front. There will be a park for kids. For ferry travellers, there is a wharf called Queens wharf. You get some good views of sea, harbour. There will be benches available to sit and relax while enjoying the view. There will be cycle stand where you can rent cycles. There is also a helicopter pad where tourist helicopter will land and take people. There will be so many shops all around Many restaurants all along the water front. You can walk till Tepapa museum from water front. There is a place for fishing too. Overall it's a great place to relax and see the beauty of Wellington. I took some photos and here are few.

The people of Wellington are so lucky having this amazing area. We walked here every day of our holidays. Great walkway around the harbour area linking you from Queens Wharf- where you can catch the ferry to Day's Bay, all the way around to Oriental Bay Beach. There are markets, food vendors, street performers, bike hire, museums, cafes and restaurants as well as lovely grassy areas with bean bags to sit and eat outdoors too. And only 5- 10 minutes walk from the heart of the city.

A great place for stroll during the day and especially for us on a warm evening. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. It is not strenuous at all. The most difficult thing is finding a parking spot.
