I brought my father to this clinic. During the consultation, the doctor mentioned that my father might have either a gastric bleed or a tumor. Understandably, I was overwhelmed, trying to communicate with the doctor while translating everything for my parents, who don’t speak English.nnUnfortunately, in the process, I forgot to request a carer leave certificate from the doctor. A couple of hours after the appointment, I called the clinic to explain the situation and ask if I could get the certificate. I was told I would need to book another appointment and pay another consultation fee.nnI find this policy unreasonable, especially given the circumstances. What’s more disappointing is the lack of empathy and concern from the staff when I explained the situation. I hope the clinic can improve its customer service and show more understanding in situations like this.
Very bad experience, I have a sore throat, the officer asked to me to do a Covid test and it’s negative, but the male Chinese still asked me to stay outside the clinic, he came out to measure my temperature, asked me several simple questions, and he went into clinic immediately, it took 5 minutes only, he didn’t give me any prescription, just give me a referral to pathology. THEY charged me $80, I didn’t get any suggestion or medication from them. I was so upset and cried on bus, passengers looked at me.
Had an evening visit and advised symptoms of possible stroke, waited for about 20 minutes with no other patient. the receptionist kept saying the doctor was on the phone, when asked if the doctor was aware there was patient waiting, the answer was “yes”, until she knocked on the doctor’s door, it wasn’t professional.
After being at this clinic with all my children for many years. This has been the worst visit to dr Shaw Ping. He didn’t examine my son, just asked symptoms and told me i should have bene examined outside in the rain. I had my sick child, he just wrote a script and waited for my to leave before he could spray the room. Unprofessional, i left the doctors in tears and now will go to another doctor who can actually care and examine my son properly.
I have had 2 days to reflect on my experience at the Waverley Family Healthcare Clinic. Unfortunately not good. Firstly I my extended family has been frequenting this clinic for 40 or so years even when it was on the other side of highway. I thought to try it when I fell ill with congestion. I called the clinic and was instructed to follow protocol prior to my appointment, which I did. My RAT test was negative so I was given the all clear to enter the premises. I checked in down stairs before being told to go directly upstairs where I was to be segregated into a room which I understand. I seen a doctor and upon completion I exited the building immediately, as you would after being isolated in a room. I received a phone call on Saturday saying I had an outstanding fee which was fine, I said I would present Monday and settle payment. Monday I booked a follow up appointment for my test results which were negative. I presented downstairs on Monday, booked in and entered upstairs. I sat there for 1 hour and 10 minutes before questioning a receptionist about my appointment. Whilst conversing with her another receptionist butted in and said “Robyn has an outstanding fee, she can’t see a doctor”. Firstly I am Mrs Peddle to her not Robyn, very unprofessional considering I booked in downstairs, and why was I made to sit there like an idiot for so long and denied seeing a doctor. Back to Chadstone Rd Medical Clinic for me where you feel welcomed and cared for without attitude.
