Watsonia Library a fun place to visit. A wide variety of events, programs and social gatherings are always going on. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Story

Residents are entitled to free use of all Yarra Plenty Region Library branches. There are 3 library locations in the City of Banyule - in Watsonia, Rosanna and Ivanhoe. There are regular storytimes for babies, toddlers and children, extensive catalogue of books, magazines, talking books, computer games, movies and music to borrow, access to computers and Internet, library-facilitated book groups, school holiday programs, author talks, senior social activities, guest speakers and you can also hire library meeting rooms for community-based activities

Watsonia Library is so much more than just books!nIt's a community meeting place with students and tutors , a meeting place for different groups ,with a lovely garden and a friendly atmosphere!
I love the building but it needs a quiet study area. A group of elderly ladies here today were extremely loud and talking without consideration for anybody around them. It’s rude. Please either moderate the volume of the building or create a silent area because in this case, noise cancelling headphones were useless… library should not be used in this manner, I understand small children being loud but from adults it is pathetic.nnOn the bright side there are gorgeous lush views from the tables in the library. It’s just the environment does not match the scenery lol
I went to the library because I needed to get a small amount of photocopying done. I was not a member of the library, but Louise checked my credentials, created a library card, and I created a password, and placed a small amount of money in my library account. Then she guided me through how to use the copier, and whether I needed black+white copies, or would colour copies be much better. So now I am a library member I can get copies done or borrow any of the thousands of books, use their wi-fi, and a dozen other things. A great resource to have use of now. SB.
Nice place to study. Very quiet and comfortable. I enjoy studying here.. very accessible for wheelchair users. Staff are so friendly.
Very good, I accotionally visit, we used to live in Banyule area for 27 yrs. Now we moved to under Whittlesea area.. all Library are good.
