The current library facilities do not appear to provide sufficient quiet study spaces for a university of this size. There are only a limited number of individual study rooms and quiet private areas available. As a result, students often need to share tables with others, and it can be difficult to find a genuinely quiet environment for focused study.nnI believe the library could consider learning from other universities by providing more independent and quiet study areas for students. Many students need a calm space for reading, writing assignments, preparing for exams, and attending online classes. Having more private or semi-private study spaces would greatly support students’ academic performance and wellbeing.nnI understand that space may be limited, but increasing the number of quiet zones, individual desks, and bookable study rooms would make a meaningful difference.nnThank you for considering this feedback. I hope the university can continue improving the library environment for students.
Today I went to La Trobe University Library to study while waiting for an important update on my enrolment from Melbourne Polytechnic, as I live nearby. The library was a great place to focus, but I was disappointed that visitors were not allowed to use the Wi-Fi.nnYesterday, I studied at Melbourne Polytechnic Library and was able to use their Wi-Fi all day. I really appreciated their support.nnI believe universities should encourage learning. Providing basic Wi-Fi access for visitors who are genuinely there to study would make campuses more welcoming and better support lifelong learning.nnIt left me feeling disappointed and unwelcome.

Excellent place with excellent furniture, excellent ambient calm to focus the study
I really, really enjoyed this library. By far, it’s soooo much better than the other libraries in Melbourne.
