Story

Watery Mouth Cafe is a funky, licensed cafe that serves fresh cabinet food daily and offers an off the board menu. Enjoy dining inside or al fresco on the ground floor, or venture upstairs where you will find comfortable sofas. There are also tables overlooking Seymour Square. Upstairs is an excellent venue for small weddings, 40th birthdays and 21st birthdays. We also cater for corporate lunches, and offer a fantastic venue for offsite meetings.

Was there yesterday for brunch with friends who have been there before and recommended the place. We were all very disappointed with the food we got. Three of us had the bacon on kumara rosti with poached egg. The rosti was not a rosti but what looked like a birds nest of tasteless shredded something. Bacon on one plate was over cooked. Also all were only just warm when served. $25 each of disappointment. The other was an open prime steak sandwich. Read well but the steak was as tough as my jandal. Needless to say we won’t be going back.
We discovered this little gem on our recent visit to Blenheim, as it was just down the road from our hotel.nThe food was exceptional and the portions were generous. It came out very quickly and the staff were very happy, friendly and professional. They couldn't do enough for you.nIt was so good, that we came back 3 more times, twice for breakfast and twice, just for coffee nGreat atmosphere and well priced. 5 stars nIn fact, it was soooo good, that we came back everyday during our 3 night stay in Blenheim, Big Brekkie, French Brioche toast with banana, bacon and maple syrup, eggs and bacon with roasted cherry tomatoes, we've had it all. It was consistently top class.nSuch a beautiful family that run it. Thank you so much
Stopped through for breakfast and it was great! We sat on the upper floor and had our choice of seating. You order at the counter and staff brings out your door / drinks - service was fairly quick and we loved our choices. Flat whites were strong and the bacon avocado stack was well done - great presentation. I held the hollandaise and added a side of smoked salmon. Decent portions too. Hubs ordered the salmon omelette and was pretty satisfied with that. They have a good amount of outdoor seating too!
Best cafe for tea in a pot with additional boiling water, 3 cups for the price of one! The muffins are delicious, filled with real fruit. Very competitive prices. Its become our place to go. They also have great opening hours, when others are closing at 2, Watery Mouth Cafe are still open with plenty of divine tasting choices!
