I had rathke cleft cyst discovered 7 years ago size 13/16mm I asked Dr. Waterston to be removed. Have been told, not to worry abot it. Its not dangerous. No mentioning about pituitary gland function and how cyst can have negative effect on some of the hormones. No blood test. Did MRI next year and cyst hasn't change in size. Then there was no folow up appointments. After 6.5 years cyst have blown up to 23/21mm pushing against optic nerve. Effected my hormones a specially cortisol. Cyst was removed. But damaged my pituatry gland. Now I have very low cortisol in the morning and through out the day. I can't take hydrocortisone I'm very sensitive I was very active person. Now, I cant work, can't do any physical activity, can't even drive the car now. Laying on couch most of the day, tired, feeling horrible wth no hope. I'm at the end of the road I should have been advised to have MRI every year and watch this cyst carefully. Do the hormone blood test every year. If the cyst strarts to grow, remove it. That's what the good doctor should say. Dr. Waterston, please next time If you see patient with rathke cleft cyst tell them, make sure they do MRI every year or don't wait, remove it. ASAP Check their hormones. This thing is very dangerous. This is horrific experience for me my wife my friends especially my mom. We where going to retire next year. I'm only 59

Dr John Waterston is thoughtful and considerate and I have been been a patient of his for almost 5 years. I've been very lucky once I had my first appointment with him. Whilst the waitlist for first appointments can be lengthy, it is worth the wait once you are a regular client. He is even willing to answer phone questions. I do not agree with the no sympathy review. Every person's situation needs to be assessed individually and as case by case.

Couldn't afford the appointment. Offered no sympathy with health care card. Refused to charge standard medicare rate.
