Onto a good thing with the ready made meals. Unfortunately the Massamun Beef was not great and tasted far from how massamun should. But it was a nice beef casserole at best. I'll definitely try other options still though. Good value.
Undoubtedly the best IGA I've seen. It's enourmous and carries a huge range of products.nWe found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. A very clean, tidy and well stocked store.
Purveyors of the weirdest stuff you'll see in Warrnambool supermarkets. Yes of course they have stuff like regular food, and it's all great, but every single time you step through those sexy wooden doors from Timor Street it's an adventure. Has to be one of the few places you could go into on any given day and, if one were so inclined, potentially feed themselves for a day for 50 cents. OK... so it was snack foods and I farted a lot and had excess sodium but for those few glorious hours my tummy was full.nnOther highlights are their Asian section, with more sauces than you can badly hold a chopstick at, and the pre-packaged bakery part that stocks the kind of stuff your grandma buys for your next visit like various swiss roll thingies, or some random slice, or those rectangle cakes with corrugated icing.nnOr maybe you like brightly coloured bowls? Or, 300gm of Banana flavoured Quik? Because they have a lot of those right now too.nnIn conclusion... you owe it to yourself to purchase some groceries here from time to time. If those times are on public holidays, you're in luck! These folk will be open and you can gawk at everyone else who does shopping on Christmas Day or Good Friday. You don't know what IGA is going to throw at you. I wish I was walking amongst the aisles right now but it's 2am.nnPro-tip: unless things have changed since I last did this, unlike certain other supermarkets you can pay for your groceries or boxes of 10 cent Peri Peri baked snacks at the liquor section too, even when you're not buying any cask wine or bottle of random something you think your Mum/Dad might like.nnI love you IGA Warrnambool, and I hope you never change.
Hello all,nnI would like to share my gratitude for a staff member at the IGA Liquor store on Timor Street, Warrnambool 3280.nnOn Sunday, 23rd August 2025, between 12:00–12:30 pm, I went to the store to get some cash out. Unfortunately, my card had expired, and I was unable to withdraw money. To my surprise, one of the staff members kindly offered to help—he tapped his own card and gave me $20 in cash.nnI offered to transfer the money back to his bank account, but he refused to accept it. His genuine kindness and generosity made my day, especially as we had never met before.nnI felt very fortunate that morning and deeply appreciated his helpful nature. I sincerely hope that such a good-hearted person will be rewarded in return, in the best way possible.nnThank you!
