Equestrian centre with plenty of improvement needed. A rider broke her arm riding one of the horses in this centre. It was a total breakdown in process and with animal control. The directors and management of company have to carry some of the responsibility for the catastrophe that unfolded. One of the horses had a disagreement with another horse and got spooked and threw the rider out of the saddle and the rider broke her arm. There were many hours of surgery to fix the issue. There needs to be more training for the horses involved and the employees of the company. There needs to be more staff walking with the horses while the riders are on the horse. At the very least and for accountability the offending horses should be retired, the directors fees reduced and the management bonuses cut.
My daughter has been attending Warrranwood for the last two years having started her riding career here. I grew up with horses and a mother who rode to a very high level so while I do not ride myself I have some considerable understanding about high level horse riding. I love this place and these people probably more than my daughter does now ! If you want a riding school that will zip you through the levels of skill and get you cantering and jumping in no time this is not the school for you. The education is very thorough and the instructors will spend time as much time as each student needs on the basics of each gait and skill so that when the magical moment comes to move up to a trot or a canter the student is more than ready and the progression is safe and controlled. But riding is only a small part of horses - especially if you are interested in getting your own horse or pony. They prepare you for this as well which I have seen no other riding school do. A portion of every lesson is dedicated to horse husbandry, health and care which is invaluable information and I think helps students gain a much broader knowledge and respect for the animal. The staff here have a passion and depth of experience that is rare to find and if you take the time to ask you will find help with most any issue horse related. The care and love they show to the disabled riders is honestly quite heartwarming to watch and I think shows the true nature of the ethos of Warranwood. The facilities are fantastic with a semi covered arena, covered stalls and plenty of room. I highly recommend Warranwood Equestrian Centre and I have to say I am grateful for the experience we have had so far.

Wonderful school. My daughter has been coming here for a couple of years now and she loves it. The owner and her team are not just experienced and run a great school, they are really lovely people who are easy to talk to and get along with. Must say, thats not always been the way with schools we have enrolled our daughter in, so this is a welcome relief also. Overall a great school, that is meeting my growing daughters needs with horses, and riding.
A great place and friendly staff and volunteers. Looking to have horse lessons then i suggest here. RTA clients also.
