Wantirna South Primary School teach and nuture all aspects of a child's growth, fostering academic but also emotional wellbeing. Ensuring the students are learning to be good people as well as achieving academically. Children are encouraged and often participate in leadership opportunities and are given a voice to really contribute to the community of the school. The staff are caring and supportive and know the children individually, encouraging strengths while also supporting any special needs with care and compassion. The school community is so lovely and we have made so many new friends among the parents. I always tell anyone that asks about our child's school how amazing it is. Can't recommend the school enough.
We moved to WaSPS over a year ago for our child, and have never looked back. The school community all staff, students and parents have been incredibly welcoming and overwhelmingly supportive at every stage. We've been continually impressed with the quality and care shown by all staff, and the variety of co-curricular offers available to the students. Our child has flourished since the move, and we regularly rave about the school to anyone who will listen. An amazing experience all round and a great community to be a part of.
Wantirna South Primary School is a fantastic school for children to learn and grow. All the staff are dedicated and caring and have the children's needs and interests at the forefront of their minds. The staff go above and beyond to make sure the children have a great experience during their primary school years. I highly recommend this school to anyone with primary school children.
We're really pleased to have chosen WaSPS for our Prep child this year. The educational experience has a strong emphasis on well-rounded development, something that was very important to our family. The Prep teaching staff are dedicated, nurturing and and skilled at creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. And we especially love how well the children look after each other across all year levels - it's a real community here. Highly recommended!
Absolutely love Wantirna South Primary. They had a reputation for being a great primary school before we first arrived as had friends who had gone there and our experience with every teacher we have been involved with has been brilliant. The principal Mrs Emonson is a fantastic leader for the school and really supportive of their staff and very engaging with the student cohort. Great leaders make a huge difference to the culture and they have this spot on. Highly recommend this school.
I attended this school in 2008 and graduated in 2014. As I have gotten older I have realised it is rare these days that a teacher can make a true positive impact on your life to the point where you think about them years later. Mrs Emonson truely changed my life and is an angel sent from above. She has no idea the impact that she has made on my, my brothers and I’m sure so many other children’s ups . Growing up for myself was tough, I was exposed to so many hardships and grew up in and out of foster care homes due to my mother being drug addicted and abusive. Coming to school and knowing that one person truely believed in me and my abilities and genuinely cared about me truely changed my life. I was in dirty clothes: Mrs Emonson brang her daughters hand me downs the next day. I had no lunch: Mrs Emonson made sure I was fed at the canteen. I had no one to pick me up from school: Mrs Emonson waited for hours with me until someone came. These are the little things I will never forget about this school and the teachers. Please know if you are considering sending your child here that they are truely looked after as if they’re the schools own.

Fantastic school with fabulous teachers and school system. Extra credits to the Principal. Her leadership qualities are clear proof on how the school runs.

This is a very good school I was there last year in class 3B or 3A and I left but it was a good school I was a girl and I think you know who I am if you see this please show the whole school I’m sure my best friend will know just so she knows goulllll we call eachother that show that to the whole school
