At Wantirna Rehabilitation on the Mountain HWY Wantirna.nI've been looking after my Nearly 89 year old Mother for close to 20 years.nI've been to more than 6 or 7 different versions of Hospitals/ Rehabilitation Hospitals in that time.nI'm 56 and certainly feel qualified to Make a Very Important Public Service to All NEEDING AFTERCARE leaving Hospital or nearing END OF LIFE FUNCTIONALITY.nI Have found an Absolute Diamond of a place for any LOVEDONE!!nThe CULTURE!!! IS THE SINGLE KEY!! To this place..Its very different to many places in Many ways.nIt's like when you have a job...you like the culture in the business or you DONT!!nWantirna Rehabilitation is another level for what they do,the results they achieve and the WELFARE!!!! End my family's torment, for the love of god help me, it is not hard. Cooperate with me throw me a minuscule bone: point me in the right medical direction to fix your past mistakes and don't push the responsibility to my GP. My mind is in so much mental stress! Give me a department/reception phone number for general hospital prescription inquires.nnEdit: I don't blame your call transferring staff, they really tried to direct me to the right people who can handle my complex situation but make no mistake with all the emotional pain we get it is only fair every 6 months or so I remind you of your predecessors mistakes. I won't stop if nothing has changed, if we got proper treatment then of course I would cease venting online.nnEdit slight mistake I technically directed this review to the wrong suburb but given that my mental health negative a million the other particulars are still correct. I will address the right Eastern Health from now on.
My mother spent nearly 4 weeks in Wantirna Palliative Care.nMy family and I are very thankful for the care and support my mother received while she was at end of life stage.nThey managed her pain and discomfort, showed empathy and care, and were very kind to family members and the huge number of visitors we had.nA huge thank you to all the nurses especially Pushpinder, Ash and Lauren. Also a special mention to Katerina who was a ray of sunshine and positivity every day while doing her cleaning rounds.nDr. Brian was sweet, comforting and a caring person.
This place is an absolute disgrace. If I could give zero stars I would. Please DO NOT send your loved ones there, they will be given back to you in a body bag. The staff don't care about their patients. They will not provide any treatment until it is to late in this case they didn't provide treatment, they transferred her. If my loved one was given a simple dose of antibiotics for an infection that she received whilst she was in their care, she would be with us now, but no, she had to die at the age of 66.
