Poor knowledge of parts. Told there is a difference between axles on an LN167 series Hilux (apart from abs). Just happened to have my rare axles in stock. Extremely overpriced $260 for one side... These axles are interchangeable between all LN167 Hiluxs. What ever happened to honest service?!

I’ll start by giving you some background on myself. Heavy diesel mechanic with 11 years experience 8 of those in field support/breakdown. 
TOTAL RIP OFF!

I’ve sent clients to this place to get parts for their 4wds so they can get on the road cheaper than buying new.   

First instance was a drive shaft for a 2002 hilux- refurbished. Client brings it to me after paying top dollar, it’s been quickly washed and poorly painted the slip joint is corroded and siezed, the uni joints are old and old crusty grease is visible under the paint. 
I ring the client and advise him to take it back and get them to supply a refurbished one. 
He takes it back and they still claim it is refurbished- unfortunately in anyone else’s books a dulux refurb is not a refurb. 
They then handed him a “brand new” driveshaft, which was in fact just a newer shaft with the same paint job. More money was transacted and the ute was driveable again.

Second was a refurbished brake booster. Same thing, top dollar for a crappy old booster that was God knows how old-  had a fresh dulux refurb though.

Third instance was a spare tyre handle for the spare tyre carrier on a kun26r hilux. $60 and it didn’t fit. The owner swung by mine and I Ground 4mm off either side to make it fit. That’s what 600% mark-up?

Wow these guys have a lot of experience. Plus everything has warranty and they have never let me down with parts for my hilux
