Story

Wanaka Gourmet Kitchen is located on the shore of Lake Wanaka, Central Otago, New Zealand. The restaurant has amazing views of the lake and the snow capped mountains.

We are fully licensed, air conditioned and can cater for functions, large or small.

Our famous signature dish is the Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder. In addition to our A la carte menu we offer premium meat on Stonegrill. We pride ourselves in using fresh local ingredients.

Located at 123 Ardmore Street, Wanaka, above Black Peak Gelato and Cakes of Wanaka.

The restaurant has a great family atmosphere and is locally owned and operated, by Dale and Wendy Bowie, who can be found there most nights.

Oh my goodness. It is one of the best restaurants in Wanaka. The food is so delicious. Highly recommended! Definitely I will come back again.

Fantastic food and service. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and the trio stone grill was delicious! Was fully booked when we were there and we can see why. Will definitely return

Blue cod was delicious as was the beat salad. Not really any atmosphere. Servers were lovely but unfortunately the service was still average considering the prices. Our water wasn’t refilled once, wine glasses remained on table even though we weren’t having wine, we were sharing plates but didn’t get utensils for the plates, etc.

Stone Grill was the best I've ever had, meat was superb. The Cod that my Wife had was also very nice. Highly recommended

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was very friendly and attentive. The quality of the food was very high with the presentation,  flavours and cooking all done to perfection. Thank you Sam and your great team.

Epic food,great staff we went on 27 of December for partners birthday I would drive from Paeroa just to go back.
