We sell secondhand crime fic, classics, westerns, fantasy/sci-fi, childrens, general fic, romances, large print, australiana and a variety of non-fiction.

Story
I took over this bookshop in May 2014 from the wonderful Simon Alloway and after a name and interior layout change it was ready to go!! I am passionate about reading and collecting books and have been since a child. For me sharing the pleasure of books with other people is a dream come true! Whether you are a toddler or a teen, read Classics or Mills & Boon, I will help you find the book you need. Nothing gives me greater pleasure then a customer who is pleased with one of my recommendations. I hope to create a bookshop that is friendly and welcoming for local and visiting book lovers.

What a great experience buying books from Kate. What a lovely caring lady. Great service and prices
one of my favourite bookstores and I always leave with something. I haven't brought any books to exchange yet but when you do you receive a credit to get more books. they've just taken over the one on maryborough too which is easy to stop by on the way back to the highway.
Fantastic assortment of books they had exactly what I wanted within 5 minutes of entering the shop high quality list of authors will definitely be coming back very cheap
What a great find. Nestled in a corner of Melory Place is this wonderful preloved book store with seemingly endless shelves filled to the brim with books from every genre you could think of. Wally is a knowledgeable and friendly proprietor, sat behind her desk at the end of the shop. If you want a book and she doesn't have it, she can source it quickly and in my experience, quite cheaply too. Very well recommended. Go and see for yourself.
