One quick night stay. Owners lovely, toilets and kitchen nothing fancy but all good. Good price, nice short walk to the beach. Not far out of Christchurch. We are happy!

Love waikuku beach. An amazing beach and not as packed as some. It's a great swimming beach but also has enough waves for boarding. Life guards on duty as well.

Family friendly camp ground.  Great beach with surf lifesavers, the domain next door has paddling pool, playground and flying fox. Facilities are clean - great place to stop overnight, a week or longer!

Good park with hidden ammenities and features like a growing set of mountain biking trails (shared with walkers and horses) behind the park - it goes all the way to Pegasus Bay, and behind to the Waimakariri river mouth - a neat half-day ride. The shop at the entrance is cool, good fish & chips (cheap too) and a book exchange. There is a free swimming pool in the main park too, popular with the locals. The hosts were friendly and the park offered a relaxing stay. If you wasn’t brand-spanking-new facilities/amenities blocks, go elsewhere but if you want a nice park near a surfing beach and good hospitality, this park is awesome.
