I love this place. You could not find another place with such a peaceful, private, and fully equipped kitchen in the Lake Kaiiwi area. Four rooms keep the place well-organized and quiet. The owner Cherie was super friendly and helpful in advising the first-time traveler. There is a small footpath opposite the property directly to the lakeside, but I recommend driving down to the Pine Campsite as there is only a shop providing food and drink. I forgot to take any pictures of inside the room, but it’s really good.
Cherie and Chris excellent owners. Stayed in the family *Tui Lodge* as it's larger & it was 10/10 we loved it. The lodge itself was brand new interior with everything needed & equipt, super clean & tidy, gorgeous outdoor setting with all the things you could use while staying at the lodge itself kayak, jetski, bikes, spa, gym you name it. It's own private lake entrance amazing. Sooo much to see & do up here definitely 5star rating for us could not fault. We had the best time ever, Nana of 86 included, def will be back again for another summer visit. 10/10

Superb location, secluded paradise right next to the lakes. Plenty of space for the family to immediately relax and space to park the boat! We didn’t want to leave! Hosts Cherie & Chris were very helpful and accommodating….. we’ll be back!Rooms: 5/5
Such a wonderful place to spend our family holidays!! We had a fantastic stay there! Love the lodges as they are private and super clean with 5 mins walking distance to the lakeside! The owner is very nice and caring. They offer the Kayaks free of use, and even delivered the kayaks to the lakeside for us!! We had a great time there, and definitely will come back. Highly recommend!
Great accommodation, friendly hosts. Room to park the boat. The kids even got treats from the Easter bunny. Nice to soak in the spa after a big day on the lake. Enjoyed our stayed.Rooms: 5/5
Be careful when you book, they expect you to make the floor shining clean, make the bedding perfectly, not leaving any tiny pieces in the kitchen sink before checkout and remember, don't cook mussels in your room because they don't like the smell. Otherwise, they will charge you an extra $50 cleaning fee. Check EVERYTHING is in good working order and report to them immediately upon your arrival as they will blame you for any damage even it's not caused by you. Surely they will charge you for that. Had a very bad experience dealing with the host and no wonder why the whole area was fully booked but only this place was empty. We were the only family stayed there on the first school holiday weekend.
Stylish individual units providing privacy and comfort. Relaxing grounds surround the units and only a short distance to the lakes. If The weather takes a turn for the worse the mini cinema is a great way to wait it out. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, and can whip up some of the lightest cheese scones you are ever likely to taste.
We were given two nights away by family. They chose such a beautiful place. The weather was not great but we had a lovely restful stay nonetheless. So close to Kai kiwi lakes. Not far from Dargaville for supplies. Lovely gardens, gorgeous lake. Our cabin was private and modern. We will go there again.
We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. I can not recommend it enough. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. They gave us lots of ideas on things to do and knew the area very well and clearly had a passion for their region. It is a beautiful area.
