As a local, we try to invest in our community and have been to this hotel many times for meals. Unfortunately the menu has changed and the meals aren't as good as they used to be. They are definitely smaller, but for the same if not more expensive price. Please plate food as advertised. Ordered a burger with coleslaw and got 2 long half slices of pickle instead, and sadly our Ribs were overcooked and chewy. Probably won't be back again sadly.
A crowd of us went there last night to celebrate my 70th birthday. The meal cost $55 each, and was left wanting. They didn't supply enough food, and dessert was a bowl of sloppy fruit salad and bought chocolate cake! No cream, no ice cream! Sadly we won't be going back there in a hurry! We have eaten there quote often in the past. Sort out your game NWH!
Dont let the menus fool you. I used to go to this place a lot under the old owner n the food was good. Yesterday I thought to go in and have dinner. Mind you already heard that people's been sick after eating here. Guess what I did too after having dinner here. Food tastes old and reheated and the chef too walked out seeing me trying to hide the disgust on my face. Customer service was absolutely good I'd recommend but the food itself no good. What I order was something I expect to be bright in color but it came looking off color and gave me the runs that same evening. But that was the only meal I had that day cause I was very looking forward to it. Very disappointed.
Went there for lunch today with family and I wasn't impressed.nThe drinks took a long time to arrive, and the meals were cold, lack luster, and one order got mixed up.nnStep up your customer service and your culinary game, Northern Wairoa.nWe won't be dining there again.
Yes it is a old building, but the service is not completely there when you need it I’m in room 9 for a month and a few weeks now for temporary housing but paying $400 Winz had nothing to do with any pay . I don’t recommend. Mold on the roof, running hot water tap and no electricity blowing lightbulbs in the room and dump smell on the floor
