This place has a strong atmosphere, amazing view and casual relaxed vibe. The service was great and everything was delivered really promptly. The entrees were really good; heaps of flavour, fresh and got the meal off to a great start. The mains were a little underwhelming - missing a bit of flavour and tasted a little bit generic / bland. Prices are reasonable and portions were well sized. Come for the view, atmosphere and enjoy the appetisers!
The ambience is stylish. Have a waterfront view, which is very soothing to watch while eating. A bit pricey, but totally worth it for the atmosphere , service and the food. Very friendly staff and the food was served very quickly. My favourite of all was the Bao. There is a vegetarian option for every dish, which makes it vegetarian friendly as well.
Great place for a work lunch. The mains were very really nice, but the starters were outstanding. As many people have said, must try the lemon pepper squid. They just need to add serving cutlery to each dish
The food looked presentable but lacked authentic Asian flavours and seemed to be catered towards ‘western’ palates. The best dish for me was the mixed vegetables steamer bucket and whilst it lacked authenticity, was healthy and tasty. The others were all misses - whilst not bad they just weren’t great especially for the relatively high prices. Service was just ok. The waitress rushed through our order which we thought wasn’t great - then one of the items didn’t come out but was on the bill. When we pointed it out they took it off the bill.
Had the "feed me" banquet, and can definitely say there's a lot of food to eat, if you aren't into spicy food then you may want to pick something else on the list. But overall very nice service and tasty food, also allow takeaway if you don't eat everything you ordered.
Incredible food! Caters well for gluten free and dairy free I had the pulled pork bao buns and the lemon pepper squid . I enjoyed being in the end of the pier - lovely being surrounded by the water; a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth a visit.Recommended dishesSquid, Pork Buns
Came in for lunch on a Sunday because a friend had bought us a voucher. Beautiful ambience and the waitresses serving us were so friendly and wonderful. We ordered the Feed Me gluten-free option which was $60 per person. To be honest it was a bit of a hit and miss for me. The 5 entrees were served about 15 minutes later and were 90% vegetarian. The only entree I really enjoyed was the fried chicken bao. The rest were ok. Then the two mains were the curry chicken and Thai beef salad which came with roti and jasmine rice. The beef salad was delicious with hints of crunchiness from the fried vermicelli noodles and cashew nuts. The roti and rice had good texture and were cooked well. However the curry chicken was disappointing because it was so sour. There was no/not enough coconut milk to balance out the acidity. Again the curry was filled with vegetables and hardly had any meat in it. I can understand why it’s a popular restaurant being just at the end of the Pier with beautiful views of the ocean. If I ever came back next time I would order individual dishes because I think they would be better value for money than the Feed Me option.
Last minute booking nice place with a panoramic sea-view. Food was delicious especially pork it was melting while eating. Staff are very friendly looked after us very well.
Two of us came to Wah Wah Gee Restaurant at the end of the pier for some dinner. We ordered the fish and chips, and pork belly with bok choy. Firstly, I want to say that the restaurant itself is in a fantastic location and looking out the window makes you feel like you're on a cruise ship. Secondly, I thought the customer service was very good, and the staff were very accommodating and quick to take our food and drink orders. Finally, the food was delicious and portions were generous, leaving both of us very satisfied with our meals. Thank you Wah Wah Gee.
Great views of the Geelong Waterfront and Corio Bay.The food was brilliant. One of the freshest fish and chips ever!!!In Melbourne Love, love this place! Great atmosphere. It's worth coming back.
