About

We are a WA based retailer selling and hiring classical and jazz instruments from student models to high end pieces.

Story

We are a WA based retailer selling and hiring classical and jazz instruments from student models to high end pieces.

We have a firm belief that every player deserves quality, whether they be professional musicians or young children starting out. In a competitive market place we are well aware of price points and value for money and go to great lengths to make quality available to all buyers.

We have years of research and training behind us. When you buy an instrument from WA Music you are not dealing with just a retailer, but with musicians, repairers, piano tuners and luthiers with years of specialist knowledge about the instruments that we sell. We offer advice on repairing, rebuilding, voicing, regulation and care of our instruments.

Sourcing the best products is somewhat of an obsession for us. We make frequent trips to Japan, London, Glasgow, Paris and Cremona, in the search for the finest antique and vintage instruments. We have the exclusive Australian dealership for many high end European products and have long standing relationships with our international suppliers meaning we are at the top of our game in sourcing exciting new products and accessories.

We proudly stand behind every product we sell and offer warranties and repairs on the premises of sold and hired instruments.

We value sustainability, a future of quality goods that last, craftsmanship, precision, honesty, fostering life long relationships with our clients and, of course, music.

Our store can be found at Shop 1, Morris Place Innaloo Western Australia – we’d love to see you there.

I found the staff at WA Music to be extremely knowledgeable and friendly and just the opposite of “snooty”. The owner in particular has very broad experience with and knowledge of pianos and is happy to share it.They were in no way pushy but made a lot of effort to find the right instrument for me at a great price. Definitely worth a visit.

My daughter is doing ATAR instrumental music and plans to be a professional musician. We are considering buying her a good quality double bass for her future but have not yet decided a budget. The staff at this store flat out refused to tell us the prices of some of the double bases and refused to let her try any "non student" double bass, as they were "too expensive", when we asked the price we were again told "too expensive"! What is this - Pretty Woman? What is the point of being snooty? My husband is a musician (guitar) and is extremely loyal to his favourite music shops, so when we are ready to spend 8-13k on an instrument, do you think we'll go to the people who were rude to us or will we find somewhere else to buy ? Will never go back.

Definitely snooty. "Are you a professional musician" "No" Conversation over. Definite lack of interest in customer service. Not interested in my disposable income? Strange. Oh well. Nice shop nonetheless.

Friendly and knowledgeable. Helped us choose the best violin in our budget without trying to upsell.
