Smaller than the Brisbane lounge because Cairns airport is smaller but staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is okay and there are gluten free options available. Fruit is always available and its nice to be able to take a quick shower before the flight. A bit removed from the main areas so you will have to walk a bit
It would be good to have some signage showings it’s closed before you walk down the long corridor up the lift and round the corner.
Bloody terrible. Why oh why is there not one god damn sign saying not open. My colleague whom I was tak8ng in just had a knee operation and had to walk the distance...why not at least bring the no access sign forward. Prior warning. Idiots. I note that other sites not affiliated with virgin say permanently closed but virgin can't????Luke mangan is over rated anyway I guess.
About time Virgin opened this lounge again. Stop being so stingy it's a busy airport.
Why are you not open yet? Qantas lounge is. Also why is there no signage downstairs saying it’s closed? Save people going all the way up there just to find out it’s not open.
I have been to this lounge on three seperate occasions at three different times of day and had a great experience each time. The friendly receptionists and lounge attendants provide a warm and welcoming smile and greeting. There is plenty of seating even in peak times with great views of the apron and runway. There is ample office space and charging ports along with reliable wifi. For its size there is decent variety of food offered and has a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. The rest rooms are well maintained and the staff are quick to clear used dishes, offer refills and ensure the lounge stays tidy and presentable. Overall a great lounge offering a great experience prior to departing Cairns. I look forward to returning in the future.
Lovely welcome from the staff and not very busy. The lounge is the same as all the other Virgin lounges. It is a little further away from the gates but nothing to worry about. The service was great and they couldn't do to much for you.
Great Virgin lounge for not a major airport. Full service with impressive food. Staff were kind and friendly with nothing but smiles for guests. Easy to find and in close enough proximity to to gates. Thanks again Virgin for outstanding service!
Comfortable lounge with plenty of seating, power points and a couple PCs and printer available. Staff were very friendly and were ensuring that empty glasses and plates were promptly removed. Great views out to the tarmac so plenty to look at. Would have given it 5 stars except very little gluten free options available. Our flight was delayed 3.5hrs and my poor husband could only eat corn chips and rice cakes. Virgin staff did hand out meal vouchers that can be used in the terminal food court due to aircraft being delayed but he couldn't use it as there was nothing available that he could eat.
Tucked away in an upstairs corner at the furtherest point from the gates. Still closed when most other lounges are open including Qantas lounge next door. Should have signage to say it's closed before you walk all the way to it.
