We enjoyed a quiet Sunday lunch at Vatan Restaurant. The servings were on the generous side, very fresh and tasty. If you are ordering a main that includes meat and rice I'd recommend a vegetarian side starter to go with it.
Food was alright, service very average but friendly owner. It's more like a 3 star but the freshly baked bread makes it a 4 star! Then when I went to pay, they said cash only which was not clear on their panel, also there was an argument with another customer about the bad smell of the food and I couldn't believe the owner was not accepting it. Customer is always right, simple as that! Overall experience was not good.

My favorite restaurant ever. Me and my mum always come here since 2014 and I always get the $13 kebab plate and nice cold Pepsi drink I miss the original owners the ladies that use to work there. New owner is a nice guy. Will recommend.
It’s the first founded Persian restaurant in Sydney. I met 4 months ago which was average. Today I announced that the management has changed. The food was average but the long delay showed that the new team hasn’t got ready well. My order was wrong after 30 minutes and they apologized for that. They need to work on timing and quality. Hope better service for future.
The food was AWFUL. The size of the kebabs were 1/4 of the normal size and the taste of the rice and kebabs were extremely bad. The service was terrible as well. Upon ordering I was told my order would be ready in 10 minutes, however after 25 minutes, when I asked how much longer I needed to wait the what appeared to be the manager was quite rude and started swearing. I would not recommend this place at all.
One of the best persian restaurants in Sydney, I believe it is under new management, which is great. The food has dramatically changed in a good way, so delicious. The quality of the food is better The restaurant is changed, it’s been renovated and if you didn’t like it before like me go again it’s much better, I would recommend it

Hi everyone, If you want to enjoy an Iranian Food in Sydney, this is one of the available options. The cost of the food is reasonable and the taste is just delicious. The service is good and the communication is fine. Feel free to ask to mix some dishes together, although there will be an increment in the price, but the taste would be unforgettable. I visit Vatan mostly for breakfast with a group of mates for traditional “kalehpacheh” head and hoof. The service is efficient, fast and responsive. Ideally I prefer the stew without cinnamon, but this is added by default it seems. They also do a mean omelette if head and hoof does not appeal to you. Lunch and evenings traditional they serve traditional Persian food, namely kabob. Not the best, but it does the job and the portions are decent.
