Slow service here. I stood in the doorway for 5 minutes before I was seated. Staff were friendly, and the cafe itself is beautiful. Very quiet which was nice, but my hash browns were soggy, as was my toast. I didn't hate this place, but I wouldn't go back.
Extremely overpriced for below average meal. I paid $17 for 6 small pieces of lamb and 7 slices of Bread alongside an old salad. Why would I need that much bread? The service had room for improvement - we waited ages to be served. The glasses were dirty. Will definitely not be going back. The only thing good about this place was the decor, is a very pretty restaurant.
Went for lunch on a Sunday. Spent $100 for sub par food. Meals we ordered were described differently on the menu than what was served up. My mothers barramundi was raw and then overcooked when served again after being sent back to the kitchen. The rest of our meals we couldn't eat as they were not very nice. We had to request for the waitresses to clear our plates that had been sitting there for a while unnoticed. It was obvious to us very quickly that they had changed ownership and management as we had enjoyed coming here for years prior where the service and quality of food was great. Mentioned our disappointment to the waitresses and simply just won't be coming back. Shame.
poor service. was told by a waitress the omelette would take too long to prepare so i ordered something else. asked for an extra slice of toast, waited ten minutes, reminded another waitress, waited another ten minutes, and received white toast when i asked for multi-grain. ratio of smoked salmon to bread was too high, so the meal was too salty. eggs were perfectly poached though. food overall is nice.
A lovely Mediterranean restaurant with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Decent servings which are very tasty & brought out to you in a timely manner. For dessert you are brought a tasting board with the desserts on them so you can see what you will get before making your choice. Pleasant staff & good service. An enjoyable dining experience.
Went for mothers lunch with the family, expecting to have a pleasant time and good food. We were mistaken, fish and chips was average as was the pulled pork burger. But the worst of it was the chicken sandwich that was raw! Then when we called the manager over she tried to argue with us instead of just accepting the mistake. One star would not recommend to anyone.
The food was okay, nothing to rave about. The service was a bit of a letdown, our drinks order took a long time to come out and didn't come out together. We had to ask after one of the items. Then we had pretty well finished our drinks before taking our breakfast order. This would have been ok if we'd been offered another "round" of coffees, but this wasn't the case. We waited a reasonable amount of time for food, but we didn't get much attention at all during the service. Items were cleared off the table with no conversation - not even a cursory "how was everything?" Overall, the food is nice, but this wasn't a memorable experience.
World of difference! We visited this restaurant previously and never managed to get proper service or food. Must be that the new management is more motivated and cares for their clients more this time. Absolutely sensational value for money. Great presentation. Recommend anytime.
We had a booking here for 6:30pm. Arrived at 6:35pm, slightly abashed at our late presence. After waiting at the entrance for a few minutes without being noticed, we were eventually seated by a chubby waitress. The seats were in poor repair and there was cutlery on the ground under our table. A few minutes later, a waitress came by and asked if we wanted to order any drinks before our meals. At this point we asked for a DRINKS MENU..... This was provided along with the food menu's, though one of us was given a lunch menu instead of a dinner menu. Wonderful. 25 minutes later, no one had taken our orders and we stood up and left, walking down the street to the Hamilton Hotel instead. That place was great and the waitresses weren't nearly as fat.
Disappointed. We had started coming here regularly for breakfast and thought the price and quality was good, however today we were charged for substituting the tomato for mushrooms which we haven't been previously and didn't tell us the charge for gluten free bread. It cost us an extra 50% for the gf bread and mushrooms on top of our normal bill. We will not be going here again and will tell others about our experience.
