We came up from Brissie for the flower festival and were looking for a place to eat. Saw the Cafe from the Laurel Bank Park and decided to give it a go. It was busy due to the festival but we got an outside table fairly quickly. Everything we ordered from drinks, to meals, to dessert, to coffee came with a normal wait one would expect. The service was exceptional from all of the ladies shout out to Jamaica. The food was well prepared, no complaints. The prices were reasonable and the location was great. We will be back at some point in the future.
Omg what a wonderful salad. I needed a quick lunch between client photo shoots and this salmon salad hit the spot. Urban grounds are always friendly and the food is great. Cameron and the staff are always attentive and go to lengths to ensure customers needs are met. High recommend
Saw this place had fairly good reviews so decided to try it. There was a group of us and we each ordered a meal and drink. Firstly, the waffles came out without any ice cream, it had a super thick custard on it that wasn't very appealing. It definitely didn't match its description. With the lamb and roast beef salad, the meat was completely cold. Some of our meals were either really salty chicken burger or too bland savoury mince. Also with the savoury mince they placed the sourdough bread at the bottom of everything and it became really soggy. I had one of the pastas and to my horror there was a pool of oil at the bottom of the bowl. It was our most disappointing meal in Toowoomba and so not worth the money we paid. We will definitely not be coming back here again.
We managed to completely screw up our plans one evening and decided to console ourselves in a bit of late-night cake eating. We were within walking distance to Urban Grounds and decided to give it a go. We were pleasantly surprised it was open midweek. The staff are friendly and the cakes as you can see we're delicious.
My favourite Wednesday morning coffee and breakfast. Staff are wonderful always have a smile and the food tastes amazing every single time I've been in. This really puts me in a great mood all day thank you so much
Can only comment on the breakfast we had here recently. The Cafe is close to the CBD and had some on site parking, although it gets full quickly. We got a table out on the old verandah with a view across to Laurel Bank Park. The coffee were very nice and service was surprisingly quick. The food was very tasty and well presented. The only thing that stopped me giving 5/5 was that the Big Breakfast had sliced ham in place of bacon and a sausages , although the roasted tomato was awesome along with half an avocado. That's just my personal preference though. Overall and nice well priced Cafe with very tapestry food, we will go back again.
Good food, great service. Visited twice over 2 weeks, not a local but will return happily if nearby. The service at reception was disappointing first go, second time was fairly good. The wait staff were really great, made up for the initial first encounter at reception. Saved from a four rating by the food, which was really very good. A lot of nice touches by the chef. Menu far from boring, and an excellent coffee. See you again!
Walked in the door and was greeted in a friendly professional manner. Breakfast options good. Food was excellent, served promptly and well presented. Flavours throughout the meal. Coffee one of the best in town. Overall service excellent in a friendly atmosphere. Venue has an elegant style and charm with views overlooking the park. Recommend this place to all.
Went for lunch after visiting Toowoomba carnival of flowers. Plenty of seating inside and out. Good range of meals available, with generous servings we were left feeling very full. It was extra to have bacon with my eggs Benedict, but there was also a mountain of mushies. Price was fair when compared to brisbane cafes. Staff were friendly.
Found this place just by chance when visiting Toowoomba. Extensive menu and very tempted by everything on offer. We just went for their scones with homemade jam and cream with tea. Not disappointed and definitely recommend a visit. Added bonus very friendly staff!Food: 5/5
