Great Venue for Oceana Orienteering Championship opener event.
Great. I had to go to Student Services. They were extremely kind and helpful. Lots of parking available.
My first year enrollment ever ... Finding it quite rewarding .. Really happy for the opportunity I'm indigenous and therefore feel really valuable to my people.. Thankyou UTAS for giving me such a wonderful opportunity
great campus with a good vibe. not so many courses on this campus, but what they do offer is mostly solid. faculty admin staff can often be really unhelpful and chaotic.
great place....so much room yet they are moving to a smaller, flood prone area in the hope the students spend more money in the CBD....only $400 million if it doesn't blow out...worth the gamble..not..
The campus is very beautiful
This should not even be called a university, it's substandard education on par with year 9 to 10 high school education. My experience of staff and faculty teachers and professors is that they are very incompetent and dreadfully frightening of change and cannot deal with anyone whom might be more intelligent than them selves. Ouch. Every year at international star rating time we were gathered together and asked by the vice chancellor to leave extra positive reviews and mark up the stars to give this university a better rating and hence attract more Asian student's, what a rort. Futher to that all marking was color coded, private school kids #1, friends of lectures #2, Asians #3, public school kids #4 and finally mature aged students #99 lol
Great day, Aboriginal philosophy with uncle Jim
Do your research, talk to someone that finished the course you are planning to do, you are likely to be better off springing for a uni on the mainland if you can afford to. I wasted 4 years here and I'm not sure why I didn't go somewhere else to be honest. Some of the lecturers don't stick to the marking criteria. It's a shame because the few bad ones do really take away from the gems that do exist in the degree. If you are lucky you will mostly deal with these people. Biased marking in my computing course, can't use break, continue or return early in a function, you need to create a ton of indentation and if statements instead. Crazy, absolutely bonkers. In my Chinese course, and what I hear for all the language courses, if you plan to delve past first year, you'll probably have only online classes and in my case since I was the only third year in Chinese, I had to take second year Chinese in my third year.
