I bought a Groupon for 1 and a half hour treatment. Worst experience ever. I can put up with no aircon and no windows, even the funky smell sewage? but the massage was amateurish to say the least and I finished up walking out with my eyes filled with oil and having to pay an extra $10 because I opted for coconut oil! I could have paid the same amount and had a really good haircut which would last for months instead of wasting a day in the city to feel miserable. I could just cry- well I am because my eyes are so bad.
Went in for 1.5 hr massage, facial and manicure with my Mum and best friend. The massage and facial were lovely but I was left less than impressed with my "manicure". I went in with nice long nails and left with them cut almost down to the blood line and they weren't even shaped at all. Just a quick cut and a rough file. Didn't even get a colour put on them. The same thing goes for my Mum too. My friend was the only one who actually got her nails done properly but she had a pedicure. Next time I will save my money and go elsewhere to have my nails done properly.
Absolutely amazing! I took my mum for mothers day, we had a 3hour treatment and words can't describe how relaxed we both felt afterwards!! Highly recommend, we will definitely go back!!
IF I COULD ID GIVE NO STARS. I’ve never written a review before, but I was compelled to write one for the absolute horrendous service my mother and I received. My mother had surprised me with a 3 hour massage for each of us with Universal Spa and Body, in hopes of giving me a day to relax and feel pampered before my wedding. I tried to book appointments for my mum and I that week, however was called 3 times to reschedule due to staff changes. I was always accommodating to the changes but informed them each time I really needed the appointment to be the week before due to wanting a relaxing day before my wedding. When we arrived for the appointment, stressed and exhausted from the week due to all the preparing of the wedding, excited to finally have a day to myself and enjoy time with my mum, we were told by the receptionist that they had tried to call that day to see if they could reschedule the appointment for that morning. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY MISSED CALL. I told them this, and they reiterated that they did call. I asked why they didn’t text message me, to which she gave NO REPLY. They could not reschedule for a day before my wedding, and I was upset, and heartbroken. I kept asking why they did not text message me , my upsetness caused a second worker to rush over and in a disgruntled and impatient manner she told me they couldn’t do anything about it, and its upsetting that the worker originally meant to take our booking had a death in the family. I tried to say I understood that horrible events occur, and that’s not the worker’s fault, but for them to just wait till we arrived for our booking and then to tell us it was cancelled is just arrogant, especially when they had my mobile number to text me. THEY DEMONSTRATED A COMPLETE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AN EMPATHLY TO COMSUMER TIME. I was exhaust, crying from the disappointment and tiredness of the week, and audacity of this company. My mother, exhausted and tired asked for a refund which we received. BUT I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE TO NOT BOOK WITH UNIVERSAL SPA AND BODY.
Went in for a 1.5 hour package on a 40 degree day,about 15 minutes left of treatment and owner turned off the aircon. I asked what was going on, got told the owner was in a rush and turn off the aircon before she left. It was very hot and humid, I said to them doesn't the owner know there are still customers?all I got was apologies and no one ever turn on the aircon, very disappointed end to the universal day spa, will not return.
The massage therapist left me in the middle of the massage to go and see to someone who had walked in to front counter. Door was left open & phone was ringing. I was left with my back exposed after having wet towels on me so I was freezing. Massage and facial were weird and disjointed. Not relaxing at all and very unprofessional. I will not go back.
Very disappointing - pamper package was not a pamper at all - in fact I left feeling very unpampered. The massage was amateurish and the therapist used techniques which ended up causing me injury shoulder and knee. The facial was also very disappointing and I left with my face feeling tacky and with residue from the exfoliant product around my hairline. There was no professionalism in the techniques and the products were used so sparingly that there would have been no benefit at all. Couldn't wait to get out of there and get some wipes to clean my face and some panadol for the pain caused by the inept massage techniques.
I was given a gift of a 3 hour pamper package and loved it. I also paid for a half leg wax $25 and was very disappointed. I left on holidays the day after and didn't notice until overseas that I still had a lot of hairs on my legs and they were still quite long
I was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience at Universal Body. The best surprise was how informative they were. I went in for a facial and came out with a whole new understanding of how my specific skin works and what to do to look after it. Highly recommend - excellent service all round
Had to give one start to give a review. Booked a 3 hour package got there and after they redeemed the voucher said they couldn't do that long now not responding to Groupon so w can retrieve our money back as we never got a treatment from them
