A real pub, not a restaurant like a lot of pubs are now. Fabulous food, great feel with a beer garden and a band on particular nights. You just can’t go wrong coming to this original, no fuss, good old fashion pub. One of my family go to’s.
Great local pub. Solid beer list, and a menu of pub classics plus some surprises- all done well. Getting served a couple of slices of white bread and a tiny butter packet before a meal is always a winner for me. Also, easily the best salt and pepper shakers I've seen in a while...
The beer garden was charming. The kung fu burger was an unexpected combination of pulled pork and prawns - kudos the cooks for being innovative. It was great that they had live music on a Sunday afternoon
We live locally and love the food and atmosphere here but we have a lovely quiet dog who also loves the pub and he isn’t allowed there no dog policy. I never write reviews but thought in this case we would to let the team know that this is a very non Brunswick policy and should be reviewed. Family friendly should be extended to our furry friends too : thanks team!
Seriously one of the best local pubs I've been to for a while. It has the blend of homely, cozy, tucked away off the main drag and the staff where fantastic. It can get busy I hear but it's my kind of pub! Had 2 meals over the past couple of weeks and they are A+
I love our local. Such great atmosphere. Great staff work. Great drinks on every day including Friday to Saturday. Only issue no dogs allowed. Something to work on.
One of the last true old local pubs that welcomes all, left in Brunswick. Awesome friendly staff, that will learn your name, as you will thiers. Perfectly cold beers on tap, great food, live music, street tables, beer garden, and fires roaring in the winter time. What more can we ask for?

This was a 5 star burger. Just the perfect pub burger and chips. Went down well with a pot of amber juice. Freekin delicious. I lay awake at night and wonder if I'll ever feel that way about a burger again. at least we had that one brief but incredible time together. I'll never forget you union burger.
Frankly? My favourite pub. I used to think I was blinded by bias because it was my local. But after six years of living elsewhere, I'm still drawn here. Whenever I walk in, I feel like I'm at home: this is a cosy pub with good beers and great food, a pleasant beer garden if you want to go outside or a warm interior if you're like me and don't understand people who like sweat and sunburn. Whether you want a quiet pint or to spend an evening with friends, this is the place to be. I've had numerous friends come here for the first time and remark afterwards "mate you know the good pubs". Damn right, this place is the goodest pub.
