Great spot, very family friendly, which was a surprise. Upstairs, there are a few toys and colouring books to keep them entertained. Service was great and the dishes were big and hearty. Coffee was spot on, including their Belgian chocolate mochas. I never complain about breakfast prices, but some items on the kids menu are over priced small piece of toast shouldn’t be $4. Street parking is available.
Kids friendly cafe in Brenswik. There is kids corner with lots of toys, dolls, puzzles and children books. Great environment and friendly staff. They serve good coffee and food. We went there with our toddler, we had very good time. We ordered baked egg and the French toast.
What a great little find ! The food and service was great. Nearly everything had a gluten free option which was awesome! Coffee was good and service was friendly and fast, great space out the back for kids.
Away from the main strip, this little spot holds its own against another popular local gem next door and the competitive dining scene in Brunswick with warm, friendly staff and a delectable selection of great cafe fare. The baked giant mushrooms were served with sundried tomato, ricotta, spinach and lemon zest on a base of balsamic and olive oil. The ricotta and sundried tomato mix added so much flavour to the dish that's reminiscent of Mediterranean cuisine. Topped with two poached eggs and spiced dukkah that burst superbly in my mouth, this was a very satisfying dish. My friend also enjoyed his Mexican scrambled eggs, with the jalapeno peppers and bacon adding interest and spice. Plenty of wood in the decor provides a homely, vintage feel to the place. This is the sort of local gem that's worth getting sidetracked for, even if it's just to indulge in a caffeine fix and the temptations lining the dessert cabinet.
Super cool cafe in a quiet street. The food is always top notch! I ordered a special this time and got very happy with the scrambled eggs and salmon.. Farmers market and veggies fries are always a winner - the owners are very friendly and the place is kids/toddler friendly in the back room
again.. drove to centre of a suburb.. asked google for a cafe near me and guess what.. this is where i ended up. Great service, was greated by a lovley lady, got the poridge and banana bread.. so worth it.. coffee could be hotter, but flavour was great. Please was pack at 11am on Saturday.. I was solo so sat up back on share table. was just nice. Im a visitor from Perth here for work.
Great play space for little kids, separated from front part of cafe so doesn't disturb others. Excellent food.
Somewhat standard brunch affair. Pleased, but no caffeine high...
Amazing food and have kids play ground as well. I definitely will go back again next time when I am down to Melbourne.
Chosen after reading good reviews for kid friendly places and seeing the kids area online, and the ability to reserve a table online. Requested to be as close to the kids section as possible knowing we had two toddlers that needed to be able to move and play. However we were very disappointed that we weren’t advised that because of a function the kids section was not available and all tables with children were crammed into the small upstairs area. Couldn’t get out from the tables and the makeshift play area was at the foot of a couch. Not to mention the steep open stairs right next to the play area. Massive OHS risk with that many people and kids. One parent stood at the top of the stairs the whole time and we swapped with other diners. Would have been a different story if we had been told upon reservation. We could have anticipated it and brought more appropriate toys or chosen somewhere else that suited our needs. Only stayed for coffees and cakes in the end. Also disappointed in the limited cake selection after reading the good reviews. While we had a negative experience today, the coffee, muffins and service were good. If you can be in the large room with kids area then it would be perfect, so check upon reservation.
